Environmental ChemOinformatic (ECO) Marie Curie Innovative Training Network funded by FP7 frameworks
Started 01.10.2009 and finished 30.09.2013, Call: FP7-PEOPLE-ITN-2008, Proposal Number: 238701
Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN) are aimed at improving the career perspectives of European researchers who are in the first five years of their career by offering structured training in well defined scientific and technological areas as well as providing complementary skills and exposing the researchers to other sectors including private companies.
ECO was a collaborative action of seven groups from five EU countries. It was aimed to prepare a new generation of environmental scientists who will contribute to implementation (but not limited to) of new European legislation on chemical substances (REACH).
ECO provided 12 positions leading towards PhD (all fellows received PhDs), Long-Term Fellowships, (Early Stage Researchers in EU terminology). Moreover 25 Short-Term Fellowships were appointed during 2010-2013 (majority of them also received PhDs).
